Project Saffire trance-forms the audience with a cutting-edge synthesis of modern American musical styles (midi-guitar, bass, and keyboards) and traditional world percussion (djembe, conga, tar, djun djun).

Polyrhythmic trance grooves overlaid with layers of sweeping vocal harmonies, and misty ambient keyboard sounds conjure a musical representation of the melting pot phenomenon of culture in America. Saffire, an accomplished musician, has recorded on over 32 CDs. He has opened for Sheryl Crow, Barenaked Ladies, Crash Test Dummies, The Samples, and at Red Rocks for the Paul Winter Consort. He is also currently playing in the local Boulder, Colorado groups Infinitia, Girls on Top, and Rhythm Mystics. He has been the co-director of the Ecstatic Choir since 1994.
